Alchemist
Town shop, built on a house plot
The Alchemist is a town shop for potions, corpse and zombie treatments, and writing supplies. It goes on a house plot and, with the Jeweler, is the most expensive shop to build: 8 Building Kit I, 6 Wooden Kit I and 3 Iron Kit I.
Its shelves hold Healing, damage, zombie and berserker potions, growth elixirs, Preservative, Reanimation Liquid, and solutions and injections for corpses and zombies. Each tier adds a stronger grade; tier III brings the Philosopher Stone at 50 silver. It is also a paper shop: Leather Scroll, Clean Paper, Ink and Science Kit I from tier I, then Blank Softcover Notebook and Science Kit II, then Blank Hardcover Notebook.
It gives happiness for more goods than its weekly cap can take: selling everything on its list up to the weekly counts would be worth 12, 22 and 34, against caps of 8, 16 and 25. You can pick the goods that are easiest for you. The dearest per item are the tier III ingredients (Tannin Liquid, Alkali, Umami, Philosopher Stone), at 2 happiness each but only one a week.

Notes
- The tier II upgrade needs 4 Blank Softcover Notebooks, which the shop only sells from tier II. Make them at a Writing Desk. Tier III likewise needs 4 Blank Hardcover Notebooks, made on a Printing Press or bought here once the shop is at tier III.
- In the demo there is no seller of paper or ink. In the full game this shop is one.
- Unconfirmed: at tier III the shop lists Berserker Potion III with a normal stock of 0. By the price formula that makes its selling price 1 copper.
