Science Kit I
A Science Kit I is Science in a box. Decompose it on the Study Table and it gives 30 Science, which is what studying items for their runes and tech points costs. Decomposing uses the kit up.
Making another needs the Writing Desk. The recipe (5 Clean Paper, an Ink and an Alchemy Flasks I) comes with Writing Supplies, and the town Alchemist sells kits ready-made.
Your first kit is in the chest in the tower laboratory. With the sheet of Clean Paper beside it, that is 31 Science and all you have for a while, so choose what to study with care: studying an item costs 1 to 20 Science, and most early items give about 10 tech points per Science.
