Science
Science is what the Study Table spends when you study an item for its runes and tech points; each study costs 1 to 20. It is not carried in your backpack. It sits in the table’s own slot, and you fill that slot by decomposing items on the table: a Clean Paper gives 1, a Science Kit I 30 and a Science Kit II 60. Nothing else produces it.
Decomposing uses the item up, and studying does not: the item you study stays in your backpack. The town Alchemist sells paper and Science Kit I from the first tier and Science Kit II from the second, and all three can be made at the Writing Desk.

- A kit is worth 30 sheets of paper. Making Science Kit I costs 5 Clean Paper, an Ink and an Alchemy Flasks I, and gives 3 kits: 90 Science for what would be 5 as paper.
