Lacquer

Lacquer is an alchemy result with two blue runes. At the Laboratory I the simplest mix is 2 Blood; 2 Seed oil also work, and so does a single Zombie goo. Every ingredient has to be studied at the Study Table before it can go in.

Albert asks for one for his violin in Varnish Before You Fiddle. After that it goes into Live Bait (one Lacquer and one Flesh make 4, once you have Fishing IV) and into Confession Booth III. Each flask you mix also gives 2 blue tech points and counts toward the Alchemist inspiration.

Notes

  • Blood is the cheap way. It costs 1 Science to study, and 8 of the 15 first-tier corpses carry some in their pockets.
  • You can buy it. The town Alchemist has 5 at its first tier and 10 after, and the Trademaster at the port has 10 with 3 silver added to each.
  • Studying Lacquer itself costs 5 Science and gives 30 red and 10 blue.
