Furniture Maker

Town shop, built on a house plot

The Furniture Maker is a town shop for woodworking parts and building kits. It goes on a house plot and costs 6 Building Kit I, 4 Wooden Kit I and 2 Iron Kit I.

It is the only trader for Wooden Kit I (from tier I), Furniture Kit I (tier II) and Furniture Kit II (tier III), which go into most shop and house upgrades in the town. Alongside them it sells Bronze Nails, planks, bronze and iron details, Polished Bronze, and later Wooden Joints and Steel Screws. It buys Wooden Trinkets but never sells them.

Almost everything it sells also earns happiness, a little at a time: at tier I a Bronze Nail is worth 0.01 and 100 count a week, while Polished Bronze is worth 0.1. Selling the full weekly count of every listed good fills the cap exactly (8, 16, 25).

Notes

  • Wooden Trinkets are bought at tiers I and III, but not at tier II. They are missing from the tier II list, so the shop turns them down in between.
  • Unconfirmed: several goods are listed with a normal stock of 0 — Wooden beam at tier II, Lacquer and Paint at tier III. By the price formula the shop pays 1 copper for them. Wooden beams also count for happiness at tier II, so you may still want to sell a few.
  • The tier II upgrade asks for 4 Wooden beams, which the shop only sells from tier III. They are cut on a Circular Saw.
