Flesh

Flesh is found in corpses’ pockets: in the demo, 5 of the 15 kinds of corpse carry 1 or 2. Picking a pocket at the Autopsy Table I never fails and needs no mastery.

Usually you should leave it where it is. Flesh carries a white skull, and white skulls are what a grave’s quality is capped by, so a body keeps its Flesh for burial (see Graveyard). That is the opposite of Fat and Blood, which carry red skulls and are better taken out.

Notes

  • You can eat it, raw. It gives 10 energy and adds 10 insanity. The first time you do, the game notes a cooking technology that only exists in the full game.
  • Its recipes are all full-game: baked meat, minced meat and live bait. It is also an alchemy ingredient with one red rune.
  • Studying it costs 1 Science and 1 Faith and gives 10 blue.
