Autopsy Table I

Already in place in Morgue, so you do not need to build it.

The Autopsy Table I is where you open corpses. One already stands in the morgue when you arrive, and laying your first body on it in the introduction gives you the Anatomy tab of the tech tree. On the table you can remove and insert organs and pick the corpse’s pockets; Corpses & Organs explains how that works and how it can go wrong. It is an Anatomy workbench, so your Anatomy mastery decides how operations turn out.

The table also counts toward the morgue’s capacity: it holds 1 body, and at the start it is the only thing that does. Until you build more room, the morgue takes one corpse at a time.

Notes

  • You can build more, but a pallet does the same job for less. Another table costs 4 Boards, 2 Pieces of stone and 4 Bronze Nails at the morgue’s build desk. It adds one body of capacity, exactly like a Corpse Pallet I, which costs only the Boards and the Nails.
  • Zombies cannot work it. Every autopsy is done by hand.
  • Picking pockets is the earliest source of blue. Each time gives 1 blue tech point, needs no mastery and never fails.
  • Dismantling it returns half the materials: 2 Boards, 1 Piece of stone and 2 Bronze Nails.
  • Autopsy Table II needs Polished Stone and Iron Details and cannot be built in the demo.
