Bones

Bones are one of the six organs of a corpse, and one of the first three you can work with. You take them out at the Autopsy Table I with the Skin and Bones technology (5 green, 2 blue). In 14 of the 15 first-tier corpses the bones are of the lowest quality and need Anatomy mastery 2; one kind has quality-2 bones, which need 4, and the later tiers ask for more (see Corpses and organs).

Most first-tier bones carry no skulls. Two kinds of corpse have bones with one white skull, which is worth leaving in, since white skulls are what a grave’s quality is capped by. The quality-2 bones carry one white and one red.

Notes

  • A successful removal gives 1 red and 1 blue tech point (2 blue for quality-2 bones).
  • Removed bones go back into a corpse, into an organ improver at the Formulation Bench, or into study: 5 Science for 10 red and 10 blue.
