Piece of stone

A Piece of stone is cut at the Stonemason’s Workbench from 2 Stone and 4 Wood wedges, which give 4 pieces. The recipe comes with The Concept of Stone (15 red) and needs Building mastery 3, one more than the rusty axe and pickaxe give, so buy the first Building node on the talent tree first. The Wood wedges need Building 3 as well.

It is what most of the early workshop is built from: 4 for the Kiln, 6 for Furnace I, 1 for the Potter’s Wheel, 2 for the Millstone, and 12 for Expand graveyard I. No trader in the demo sells it, so the furnace, and every Bronze Detail after it, waits until you can cut stone.

  • The Mason perk gives a 50% chance of 1 or 2 extra pieces per batch.
  • Four pieces make Polished Stone later, with a Melted Fat and 2 Sand.
  • Two pieces fix the broken oven in your kitchen (Building 3), which opens cooking with fire.
