Alchemist
Alchemist counts the recipes you mix in the Laboratory: each potion, powder or other product you make there counts 1. It is an Anatomy inspiration, visible from the start, with a free first level at 1. See Alchemy for how mixing works.
The real limit is ingredients: one has to be studied at the Study Table before it goes into the mixer, and until Writing Supplies gives you paper and Science Kits to make, the 31 Science from the tower chest only covers a couple of dozen studies.

Totals are counted from the start, not per level. Buying a level costs Faith from your backpack and gives talent experience; see Talents and Inspirations.
