An Injection for Corpses is the stronger grave treatment: each one takes red skulls off a body and adds as many white ones, 1, 2 or 3 of each by grade. You make it at the Formulation Bench from a Melted Fat, a Preservative and a Comet’s Tail, with Anatomy mastery 8, after Embalming III (150 red, 150 blue), a technology on the resurrection branch.
At the Embalming Table, each bottle goes into one of the body’s pockets and stays there. A body holds at most 6 pocket items, organs not counted. The bottle is used up as soon as you pick it, and the job never fails. It takes 2 minutes on the Embalming Table and half that on the Embalming Table II.
Each item is studied once, on the Study Table. Studying does not use the item up. With the Scientist perk, a 30% chance of a Story.
Notes
One injection moves a grave twice as far as a solution. Each red skull removed is a point the decorations keep, and each white skull added raises the ceiling.
It takes longer than a single-colour solution, which needs 80 seconds on the Embalming Table.
At Anatomy 8 every bottle comes out grade III, since the recipe is graded by stars. The town Alchemist sells grade I from its first tier and one grade III a week at its third, for 70 silver.
