Smithy

Town shop, built on a yard plot

The Smithy is a town shop for metal, weapons and armor. It goes on a yard plot and is one of the cheapest shops: 4 Building Kit I, 3 Wooden Kit I and 1 Iron Kit I.

Each tier brings its own metal: bronze scrap, ingots, details and nails at tier I, iron nails and details at tier II, steel details, screws and Engineering Details at tier III. It also sells a pike, a sword, armor and a hammer of the tier’s metal, all at fixed prices: from 1 silver for the Light Pike to 250 silver for steel armor or a steel sword.

It is the only trader that buys rusty tools. The rusty axe, pickaxe, hammer, shovel, sword and armor fetch 10 copper each, bronze tools 1 silver 50 or more, and from tier II iron tools. Like all fixed-price goods, they always sell for the full listed price. It also buys Copper Trinkets.

Orders are taken at the chalk board in the Town Warehouse on Pride day. Urgent orders must be delivered in full by the next count; cumulative ones add up week to week.

Notes

  • At tier I the cumulative order pays more than the urgent one. Both ask for Supply: Building materials I: 10 boxes by the deadline pays 20 happiness, while 10 boxes over any number of weeks pays 25. At tier II and III the two pay the same. This looks like a data slip.
  • It will not buy back the hammer of its current tier.
  • Each upgrade asks for the metal part the next tier sells: 6 Advanced Details for tier II and 12 Steel Screws for tier III.
