Steel Hammer
The Steel Hammer is the best hammer: it adds Smithing mastery +6 while it is on your toolbar. You forge it at the Steel Anvil, with a Hardening Bucket, from 2 Sticks, 2 Steel Details and a Steel Ingot. The recipe comes with Steel Instruments I (150 red, 20 blue) and needs Smithing mastery 10.
The town Smithy sells one at tier III.

Each item is studied once, on the Study Table. Studying does not use the item up. With the Scientist perk, a 30% chance of a Story.
Notes
- The steel work it helps with needs a lot of Smithing: the Master Sword and Master Armor take 15. All four hammers on the toolbar give 13, and the small tools add more.
- Studying it costs 10 Science and gives 100 red and 20 blue.
