Steel Ingot
A Steel Ingot is the metal of the third-tier tools, weapons and armor. Nothing in the game smelts it: the Bishop sells it in conversation, at 1 silver a piece in lots of 1, 10, 50 or 100, once you have finished the quest Man of Steel. This comes from the game’s dialogue scripts and has not been checked in play.
The first 4 go into the Steel Anvil itself, and most steel work happens there: 4 Steel Details or 8 Steel Screws from one ingot, and the steel axe, pickaxe, shovel, hammer, sword, pike, bow and armor. At the Furnace II with a Casting Table (which also takes 4) an ingot becomes 2 Engineering Details, and at the Jewelry Table it makes the Master Surgeon’s Kit.

- The price is a tenth of its value. A Steel Ingot’s base price is 10 silver, but the Bishop charges 1.
