Steel Axe
The Steel Axe is the best axe: it adds Building mastery +6 while it is on your toolbar, against 4 for the Iron Axe. You forge it at the Steel Anvil, with a Hardening Bucket, from 2 Sticks, 2 Steel Details and a Steel Ingot. The recipe comes with Steel Instruments I (150 red, 20 blue), which also gives the Steel Hammer, and needs Smithing mastery 10.

Each item is studied once, on the Study Table. Studying does not use the item up. With the Scientist perk, a 30% chance of a Story.
Notes
- All four axes on the toolbar give Building 13. Every tool of a branch there counts.
- No trader sells or buys it. The steel comes only from the Bishop in conversation.
- Studying it costs 10 Science and gives 100 red and 20 blue.
