Bronze Scrap

Bronze Scrap is where all bronze starts. Herm sells it from his first tier, 15 at a time, and it drops from junk: every broken barrel and trash pile you break gives 1 to 3, and the broken shelves in the morgue and the basements give 2 or 3. There are 14 barrels and trash piles in your yard and garden.

It has two uses. On the Wooden Anvil, one scrap makes 6 Bronze Nails (Smithing mastery 1). In Furnace I, 3 scrap and 10 Fuel melt into 2 Bronze Ingots, and ingots are what Bronze Details are made from.

Notes

  • Three scrap make twelve Bronze Details: 2 ingots, 6 details each.
  • Junk needs Building mastery 2 to break, which the rusty axe and pickaxe give.
  • Later, copper is cheaper. Once you have Bronze Forge, 3 Copper Nuggets and 1 Tin make 4 ingots, and neither costs money.
