Tin
Tin is half of the better way to make bronze. At the furnace, 3 Copper Nuggets, 1 Tin and 20 Fuel make 4 Bronze Ingots, where 3 Bronze Scrap only make 2. The recipe comes with Bronze Forge (20 red).
The same technology gives you the Sluice Box, where you wash 3 Sand into 2 or 3 Tin. So one sand pit and the copper vein by the garden, both of which never run out, keep you in bronze without buying scrap.
