Iron Hammer
The Iron Hammer adds Smithing mastery +4 while it is on your toolbar, twice the Bronze Hammer. You forge it at the Iron Anvil, with a Hardening Bucket, from 2 Sticks, 2 Iron Details and an Iron Ingot. The recipe comes with Iron Instruments II (80 red, 15 blue) and needs Smithing mastery 6.
Smithing is the branch for the anvils, the furnaces, the jewelry table and mining ore. The town Smithy sells one at tiers II and III.

Each item is studied once, on the Study Table. Studying does not use the item up. With the Scientist perk, a 30% chance of a Story.
Notes
- Its bonus does not help on building sites. A construction site needs a hammer to work on, but the work counts as Building, so the Smithing bonus does nothing there.
- It replaces your older hammer on the toolbar, which holds one hammer at a time. Small tools beside it add their own Smithing bonus.
- Studying it costs 5 Science and gives 60 red and 10 blue.
