Clay

Clay is dug with the shovel from clay pits: there is one in your yard and more by the river (Riverside). Each dig gives 4 Clay and the pit is back at once, so it never runs out. Digging clay is a Building job and needs Building mastery 2, which the rusty axe and pickaxe give.

Clay feeds two workbenches. At the Potter’s Wheel, 2 Clay make 3 Clay Plates; in the Kiln, 4 Clay and 20 Fuel make 6 Bricks. The Kiln itself also takes 5 Clay to build.

Notes

  • The shovel’s own bonus does not help. The shovel adds Farming, but clay pits are Building; what counts is your axe, pickaxe and Building talent nodes.
  • Sand is dug the same way at Riverside, but needs Building 3.
