Clay Urn

A Clay Urn is an unfired pot thrown on the Potter’s Wheel: 4 Clay make 2, with the Ceramic Firing technology (55 red) and Building mastery 5.

Its main job is the Distillation Cube: every Alcohol recipe and the church’s Fragrance take 2 urns a batch, along with 20 Fuel. At the Formulation Bench an urn and 3 Ash make an Urn with Ashes I for the columbarium. The Kiln lists a recipe that fires 2 into 3 Ceramic Urns, but nothing in the game files unlocks it (Unconfirmed).

Notes

  • No trader sells Clay Urns, so every distillation of Alcohol starts at the potter’s wheel.
  • Don’t confuse them with Clay Plates, which the cube uses for Melted Fat.
  • Studying one costs 5 Science and gives 20 red.
