Berries grow on the berry bushes around your base, the village and the road between. Picking a bush by hand gives 2 to 4 and needs Farming mastery 1, which a shovel on your toolbar provides; the bush fruits again after about 20 minutes. The chest in your house also starts with 5.

Raw, a Berry gives 3 energy. Six of them go into a batch of Berry Pie, with 4 Dough, and the four pies give 120 energy and take 3 insanity off each, where the six berries eaten raw give 18.
