Linda
Linda owns the Dockside Club at the port, which she insists is “much more than” a tavern. Bringing the town back to life is good for her business, and she is the one who brings new people to the town: from your first shop on, she turns Green Scrolls into town quality. Along the way she plays a concert on her late friend’s violin and falls for that friend’s brother, Albert, the Plague Doctor. She sells nothing.
Safe Harbor
After the first battle you reach the port, and Gunter, the Astrologer, asks you to fetch his tarot cards from the club: he left without paying his bill. Linda has the deck and will not give it back yet. Gunter predicted that the old shop in the port would open again, and she wants that to come true.
- Talk to her about the cards (Safe Harbor). You get the Market Stalls I technology for free, which lets you build shops on the town’s signboards (see The Town).
- Open a shop. The quest asks for the old shop near the club, but it completes as soon as you build any stall or repair any house in the town.
- Tell her. You get 10 reputation with her, a Town Gratitude, a Story and the Deck of Cards for Gunter.
New people
Her plan for the town is simple: a merchant ship docks every Lust day, and she will make sure the next one brings settlers. From then on, ask her for New people and hand over Green Scrolls, which you get for repairing houses in the town. Each scroll raises town quality by 1. Town quality is the ceiling on the happiness you can hold.
| Answer | Needs her reputation | Scrolls | Town quality |
|---|---|---|---|
| Attract 1 new person | 10 | 1 | +1 |
| Attract 3 new people | 10 | 3 | +3 |
| Attract 10 new people | 20 | 10 | +10 |
| Attract 10 new people (again) | 30 | 10 | +10 |
| Even more people | 40 | — | opens the repeatable ×1, ×5 and ×10 |
The first four can each be chosen once. New people can only be asked for on Lust day, with one exception: the first time, right after she explains her plan, the menu opens on any day, and you can use it several times in that same conversation.
The concert
Next Linda wants the club freshened up, and then some music.
- Paint. Bring her 1 Paint. The quest gives you the Paint technology when it starts. 10 reputation, a Town Gratitude and a Story.
- The violin. She can play, but needs an instrument: the violin of her best friend Aleksta, which Aleksta’s “creepy brother”, a doctor living below the town, still has. That is Albert; see his page for what he asks. Give her the Violin: 10 reputation.
- Incense. She remembers Albert smelling of chemicals, so she wants incense. Bring 1 Simple Incense, which the Trademaster sells: 10 reputation.
- The concert. Talk to her on Lust day to start it. Albert turns up at the last moment. Afterwards you get the achievement A Night to Remember, and Albert’s next quest opens.
Albert
After the concert she wants to see Albert again (“so confident… so not into me”), and needs a present. Talking to her about it gives 10 reputation; the present is a Blank Softcover Notebook. Albert has to agree to the visit, which needs 50 reputation with him. The morning after the visit, go and see her at the club: another 10 reputation, and she decides the two of you will help Albert find a cure for his sister.
The election
For the village election, Januarius needs her club as a voting place. Vote Early, Vote Naughty needs 55 reputation to ask and 60 to convince her; she agrees when you point out that stability might let Albert open a practice. Her reputation only comes in tens, and by this point six quests have given it, so 60 means every one of them: the shop, the paint, the violin, the incense, the talk after the concert and the visit to Albert.
Albert’s cough
After the election, A Cure for Wellness finds her worried about Albert’s cough. She has asked everyone passing through the port for a remedy, and a group of refugees in green have one: a magical plant from their home. They want land to farm in return. A ship’s captain in the club suggests the bottom of the ship lock, which gave a fine harvest once when it was drained. That starts Herbert’s lock battles.
She also wants Albert out of his cold basement and working as a proper doctor at the club, which means wealthy patients. Wealthy Clients asks you to raise town quality to 100, and the scrolls you give her are how that happens. 10 reputation and 2 Town Gratitude. She tells you she was once jealous of Aleksta, and that Aleksta saved them both when the zombies came.
Once the lock is drained and the refugees have their land, they give you 3 Po-ta-toes for 3 steel shovels. Bring all three to Linda (Hot Potato Delivery): she will boil them, and Albert is to breathe the steam. 10 reputation. Then bring Albert to the club (see his page).
The captain stays in the club. Buy him 2 Beer and he tells you stories for Faith: 10 Faith gets you a Story, and the first time also 3 Town Gratitude.
Love Story
When the cure has worked and the town has its wealthy clients, the next time you wake up Love Story sends you to the club. Albert has moved in, with a laboratory in the basement and an office for patients upstairs, and Aleksta serves beer behind the bar. Albert asks for flasks; Linda, as you leave, asks for Chocolate, since the merchants have brought cocoa. The quest gives you the Chocolate cooking technology, and Cacao comes from the Trademaster. 10 reputation and 3 Town Gratitude.
For the portal, Lust and Envy asks Linda and Albert together: 90 reputation with each if you returned the Old God’s eye, 100 if you kept it. Linda’s last 10 come only from the dark path, from the Luxury Drapes you bring Albert.

| Reputation | From | Opens |

| 20 | + the paint | New people: 10 |
| 30 | + the violin | New people: 10 more |
| 40 | + the incense | New people: repeatable |
| 60 | + the talk after the concert, the visit to Albert | The election |

She has no reputation technologies; her reputation only opens her own answers and quests.

Notes
- Any shop or repair finishes Safe Harbor. The quest names the old shop by the club, but it listens for any repair in the town.
- Keep the Po-ta-toes. The refugees give exactly 3 and she needs all 3; nothing else in the game gives them.
- Town quality 100 means scrolls. Two quests give 10 each; everything else comes from the Green Scrolls you hand her, one point per scroll.
- Unconfirmed: the captain’s stories can be bought again and again. His Faith answer has no counter in the files, so it looks repeatable.
