Trademaster

The Trademaster runs the town warehouse and the trade at the port. He first appears when Jack tries to get into the warehouse: it belongs to the Town, he says, and anyway it has been emptied. New supplies can only come by ship. After you help him make the bay safe for big ships, he trades with you at the Main Pier. He sells goods the ships bring in, including one no one else carries, and he is the one who holds on to a portal fragment until you can pay for it.

Crystal Clear

Once you have been inside the empty warehouse, he waits for you at the port. Small ships only come to take refugees away, because the bay is full of wrecks: ships full of the dead were once sent out to sea there. He wants to put up floating lights over the most dangerous spots, and he is only missing the lenses.

Crystal Clear asks for 3 Lenses. They are made at a furnace with Bellows fitted, from sand and fuel. Hand them over and his trade opens. The next time you sleep, the lighthouse beam lights up over the bay.

What he trades

His stock is on the table below. He is the only source of Cacao, which Linda’s Chocolate needs. He also has what several story quests ask for: the Simple Incense for Linda’s concert, Lace, and the Lacquer and Paint if you would rather buy than brew them. Add gold nuggets, gems and better seeds than the village sells.

He also buys three kinds of trinkets (Wooden, Copper and Precious Trinkets), which he never sells. His purse is the largest of any trader: he starts with 50 silver and takes in 5 silver a day. His store never moves up a tier.

High Price

Gunter once sold a portal fragment to a merchant, and the Trademaster took his fee. The merchant has been trying to sell it ever since, bringing it back every week without finding a buyer even at half price. In High Price you ask to buy it back: come on Lust day, when the ship is in, with 1 gold (half the original price plus his commission). You get the Lust fragment.
