Vegetable Stand
Town shop, built on a house plot
The Vegetable Stand is a town shop for seeds, vegetables and garden tools. It goes on a house plot and is one of the cheapest shops: 4 Building Kit I, 3 Wooden Kit I and 1 Iron Kit I.
At tier I it sells seeds and crops of wheat, carrot, beet and cabbage, apples, and seedlings for apple trees, bushes and rhododendrons. Tier II adds onions, pumpkins, the better grades of cabbage and a blueberry seedling; tier III brings every grade of onion and pumpkin. It is the only trader that sells onion and pumpkin seeds. It also sells the shovel of its tier: Bronze Shovel, then Iron, then Steel at 145 silver.
It gives happiness for the vegetables themselves, a small amount each but many a week: at tier I, 40 wheat, 30 carrots, 20 beets and 20 cabbages make up the full 8. At tier III its list is worth 48 against a cap of 25, and the better grades pay more per item (a gold-star pumpkin gives 0.2, wheat 0.04).

Where it can be built
On any free house plot, 7 in all. Plots are named here by the battle for that part of town.

Notes
- Tier II needs 40 silver-star Cabbages, and tier III 40 gold-star Onions. The stand only starts selling silver-star cabbages at tier II, so the first upgrade has to come from your own garden.
- Shovels have a fixed price and do not get dearer as stock runs out. The stand will not buy back the shovel of its current tier.
