Carrot seed is sold by Herm from his second tier, 32 at a time. Four seeds plant a Garden Bed of Carrots; planting needs Farming mastery 4.

A well-planted bed gives back about 4 seeds at first, as many as you planted, and 6 once you have built Garden Upgrade I; the Carrot page explains why. Spare seeds press into Seed oil at the Millstone.
