Wheat seed

Wheat seed is the first seed you can buy: Herm sells 20 from the start, 32 once his store reaches its second tier. Four seeds plant a Garden Bed of Wheat, which needs only Farming mastery 2, the lowest of any crop, and grows at full yield even before the garden is upgraded.

A well-planted wheat bed gives back 6 seeds along with 6 Wheat, so after the first bed you should not need to buy more. Spare seeds press into Seed oil at the Millstone, 4 seeds for 2 oil.

Notes

  • The quest text suggests 16–20 seeds, but Planted and Delivered only checks the 5 Wheat you bring. One bed is enough.
  • Studying it costs 2 Science and gives 15 green.
