Pro Rod
The Pro Rod is the best fishing rod, worth +6 Farming mastery on your toolbar, against 4 for the Advanced Rod. Making one at the Woodworking Workbench II takes 2 Special Wood, 2 Engineering Details and 16 Flax Thread, Building mastery 12 and a Fine Tool Rack.
The recipe comes with Fishing IV, a hidden technology given to you when you finish Plenty of Fish in the Sea. The Fish Stand sells one at tier III, and the quest Fish for the Fisher gives one as a reward.

Notes
- The rod’s bonus counts twice when reeling. It is part of your Farming mastery and is added again as the rod’s own strength, so a better rod both pulls fish in faster and keeps the line slacker (see Fishing).
- The Fish Stand’s tier III upgrade takes a Pro Rod, so the one it sells comes after you have already given one up.
- Studying it costs 5 Science and gives 50 green.
