Croissant
A Croissant gives 20 energy and takes 5 off your insanity. In the demo it is one of only three things you can eat or drink that lower insanity, with Beer and Berry Pie. Per item it takes off more than a Berry Pie (3) and less than a Beer (12).
You bake it in the Kitchen Oven: 4 Dough, 1 Chicken Egg and 10 Fuel make 4 Croissants, or 6 with the Cook II perk. The recipe comes from the Pastries technology, which you get automatically when your first Berry Pie comes out of the oven. The eggs are the catch: only Herm sells them, and only after his store reaches its second tier.

Each item is studied once, on the Study Table. Studying does not use the item up. With the Scientist perk, a 30% chance of a Story.
Notes
- It needs Farming mastery 5. Only Vegetable soup asks as much among the demo’s dishes, and it is an oven recipe, so below 5 the batch will not start. One way there: a Bronze Shovel (2) and the Basic Rod (1) on your toolbar, plus two Farming mastery nodes on the talent tree.
- Berry Pie comes first. The pie needs Farming 4, so you meet that requirement on the way.
- Studying one costs 10 Science and gives 30 green and 20 blue.
