Pickpocket
Pickpocket counts the items you take from bodies’ pockets at the Autopsy Table. It is an Anatomy inspiration, visible from the start, with a free first level at 1.
Pockets need no mastery and never fail, unlike organs, which need Anatomy mastery above 0 before you can touch them. That makes pocket items the first thing you can do on the table: each one gives 1 blue tech point and counts 1. In the demo’s bodies the pockets hold Fat, Blood and Flesh, one to four items per body, and Fat is the start of Melted Fat.
What counts
| Do | What | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Make | Take an item from a pocket | Autopsy Table I |
Levels
| # | Name | Total needed | Faith | Talent exp. |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Pickpocket I | 1 | free | 1 |
| 2 | Pickpocket II | 10 | 1 | 1 |
| 3 | Pickpocket III | 25 | 5 | 1 |
| 4 | Pickpocket IV | 50 | 10 | 1 |
| 5 | Pickpocket V | 100 | 25 | 1 |
| 6 | Pickpocket VI | 250 | 50 | 2 |
Totals are counted from the start, not per level. Buying a level costs Faith from your backpack and gives talent experience; see Talents and Inspirations.
Notes
- Take one pocket item before your first burial. With Last Respects, that gives two free Anatomy levels at once, which opens the inspiration page and leads straight to your first Anatomy point. See Talents and Inspirations.
- It counts per item, so a body with four pocket items counts 4.
