Brewery
Town shop, built on a yard plot
The Brewery is a town shop for grapes, hops and drinks. It goes on a yard plot and costs 6 Building Kit I, 4 Wooden Kit I and 2 Iron Kit I.
It sells Grape Seeds, Grapes and Hop Seeds, and ready drinks: ciders, Mead and Beer, with Wine from tier II. Higher tiers add the better grades of grapes and wine. It is the only trader that sells grapes and wine.
It also buys what a brewer throws away: Empty Bottles, Apple Juice, Berry Juice, Hops and Wheat, plus Grape Juice from tier II. It never sells these, and they are what it pays happiness for. Its list is worth more than its weekly cap (10, 23 and 34 against 8, 16 and 25), so you can choose what to sell.

Where it can be built
On any free yard plot, 4 in all. Plots are named here by the battle for that part of town.

Notes
- The upgrades need Grape Juice: 20 for tier II and 20 gold-star Grape Juice for tier III. The Brewery buys juice but never sells it; press it yourself on a Vine Press.
- Unconfirmed: at tier III, wheat drops off the happiness list. Its entry in the game data is broken (the id reads “wheat80” with a count of 0), so wheat most likely earns no happiness there.
- The tier II urgent order pays the most happiness of any order: 70, plus 20 with Happy supplier, for 20 Supply: Cutlery II.
- Tier II gives 3 village reputation, not 2 as at most shops.
