Sacred Interior
Sacred Interior counts church quality, but only new highs: each time the church’s quality goes above the best it has ever been, the difference is added. It is a Book writing inspiration, and its first level (10) costs 1 Faith.
The record starts at zero, not at the church’s starting quality. The church begins far below zero, full of rubble and broken pots, so clearing them only brings it back to zero and adds nothing yet. From there, every point you add counts, and the count equals the highest quality the church has ever had.
What counts
| Do | What | Where | Counts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raise | the Church quality to a new high | + points above the old record |
Levels
| # | Name | Total needed | Faith | Talent exp. |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Sacred Interior I | 10 | 1 | 1 |
| 2 | Sacred Interior II | 20 | 3 | 1 |
| 3 | Sacred Interior III | 30 | 5 | 1 |
| 4 | Sacred Interior IV | 60 | 8 | 1 |
| 5 | Sacred Interior V | 120 | 12 | 2 |
| 6 | Sacred Interior VI | 200 | 20 | 2 |
Totals are counted from the start, not per level. Buying a level costs Faith from your backpack and gives talent experience; see Talents and Inspirations.
Notes
- Tearing things down and rebuilding them does not count twice. Only a new record counts.
- Church quality comes from the furniture you place inside, such as Interior Bench I (+3 each). Improve the Church I itself adds none.
- Graveyard quality works the same way for Resting Place.
- The inspiration stays hidden until the Nun has you hold your first service. Since the story asks for a church quality of 10 before that, the first level is complete the moment it appears.
