Speech Writing Device
The Speech Writing Device is a gift in Well-Deserved Rest. It is one of the six gifts, two for each pair of friends, that win their help for the palace; every gift delivered raises that friend’s reputation by 10 and gives 3 Town Gratitude. The quest gives you the recipe: at the Steel Anvil, an Engineering Detail and 2 Steel Screws, with Smithing mastery 7.
You hand it to Agatha, but the reputation it earns goes to Herbert. The Trilogy for the same pair works the other way round.
