Kraken steak
Kraken steak is one of the four legendary fish dishes, listed as 30 energy and 50 blue tech points. The Kitchen Oven cooks one from a Kraken Jr, a Salt and 25 Fuel (10 with the Heat Saver perk), 2 with the Cook II perk, at Farming mastery 8.
There is no technology to buy for it: catching your first Kraken Jr gives you the recipe. The fish takes only Live Bait, there is only one at a time; another comes back only after a while (see Fishing).

Notes
- It gives more energy than it says. Because of the way the game applies an item with several effects, eating one gives the 50 tech points once but the energy twice: 60, not 30. This is read from the game’s code and has not been checked in play.
- No trader sells it. Studying it costs 20 Science and gives 20 green and 30 blue.
