Butcher
Butcher counts the organs you remove at the Autopsy Table. It is an Anatomy inspiration with a free first level at 1, and it appears once you research Skin and Bones, the technology that lets you see skin and bones on a body.
It counts every removal, whatever the result. Taking an organ out has three outcomes (you get the organ, it is destroyed, or it becomes a Surgeon’s Error) and all three count 1 here; the last one also counts toward Oops Surgeon. See Corpses and Organs for how the result is decided.
What counts
| Do | What | Where |
|---|---|---|

| Make | Remove skin | Autopsy Table I |
| Make | Remove skull | Autopsy Table I |
Also counts, not in the demo (3)

| Make | Remove guts | Autopsy Table I |
| Make | Remove heart | Autopsy Table I |
Levels
| # | Name | Total needed | Faith | Talent exp. |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Butcher I | 1 | free | 1 |
| 2 | Butcher II | 5 | 1 | 1 |
| 3 | Butcher III | 15 | 5 | 1 |
| 4 | Butcher IV | 25 | 10 | 1 |

Totals are counted from the start, not per level. Buying a level costs Faith from your backpack and gives talent experience; see Talents and Inspirations.
Notes
- In the demo only skin, bones and skulls can be removed. Skulls come with Skull and Teeth. Hearts, brains and guts have no way to be unlocked in the demo’s data.
- It needs Anatomy mastery above 0, and each organ has its own threshold, from 1 for low-quality skin up to 8 for a top-quality skull.
