Burial Certificate I
A Burial Certificate I is what you get for burying a corpse. Every corpse in the demo carries one, and it drops when the body goes into a grave. It is the demo’s steady income: Januarius in the tavern buys each one for 1 silver, and the first 5 you sell him each week also give 1 happiness apiece.
Your first one also moves the story on. In Certificate, Please, Herbert at the crossroads asks to see it before he lets you into the village. He only looks at it; you keep it and can sell it afterwards.

Notes
- Burning a corpse gives it too. The Crematorium I pays out the certificate like a burial; throwing a corpse in the river gives nothing.
- Only Certificate I exists in the demo. Certificates II and III come from better corpses, which the demo never sends.
- Selling more than 5 a week still pays, only the happiness stops.
